The Paradigm Evolves

November 13 – 14, 2019 • Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA

Patient Advocacy Scholarship Program

The success of personalized medicine depends on collaboration between patients and health care providers to develop prevention and treatment plans based on information from diagnostic tests as well as each patient’s circumstances and values.

But the Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC)’s most recent data suggest most patients have never been exposed to the concept of personalized health care.

With that in mind, the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) has partnered with PMC to offer a limited number of travel scholarships for patients, representatives from patient advocacy organizations, and caregivers who are interested in attending the 15th Annual Personalized Medicine Conference at Harvard Medical School.

In addition to attending the conference, all scholarship recipients will share the experiences they, their loved ones, and/or their constituencies have had with the health care system during a roundtable discussion with representatives from various sectors of the health care system. PMC will use the insights from this conversation, which will take place over lunch on the first day of the conference (November 13, 2019), to inform a publication that summarizes patients’ expectations for this new future of health care.

Interested persons may use the link provided below to apply for the scholarship before 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, October 11, 2019.
